The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information: When you make a booking we will collect and process information necessary for the booking only. This will include your name, home address, email address, contact telephone number and payment details. This information is collected in order to enter into a contract with you, provide our service and communicate with you regards your booking.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
– You have made a booking with us
– You have requested that we keep you informed of offers, events and updates.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
– If you book through another booking site we will store this information in order to process your booking.
We use the information that you have given us in order to ensure that we process your booking request accurately. We also require this information in order that we may deal with any issues or queries that arise in relation to the booking.
We do not share this information with anyone unless there is a legal or vital reason for us to do so. For example if you become unwell or if we are requested to do so by law enforcement agencies. We will only do so in compliance with data protection law.

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored at the Dolphin Inn (Dunbar) Ltd. We keep your booking information for for a week after your booking has expired. We will then dispose of your information by securely deleting your data in our systems.
However if you consent for us to retain it for communication and marketing purposes we will save it securely and notify you immediately if your information is compromised in any way.
If you want to know what personal data we have about you, you can ask us for details of that personal data and for a copy of it (where any such personal data is held). This is known as a “subject access request”.
